What do Rainbow Girls do?

Rainbow Girls participate in a multitude of activities! We hold meetings twice a month to get together and plan our activities. Our main focus is having the girls get involved in community service and fundraising activities for those in need, but there is also a big focus on fun events.

Some of our service activities include visiting hospitals and nursing homes, collecting canned goods for local shelters, can tab collections for Shriner’s Hospitals, planting flowers in our communities, sending cards and care packages to the troops, and volunteering at the Special Olympics and Relay for Life, among many others.

Fun activities are as diverse as our members and can include sleepovers, dances, bowling, shopping, laser tag, picnics, or trips to area attractions or parks! Rainbow girls also travel to statewide events including three receptions, one for each area of the state, our annual state convention, and a camping leadership weekend!

Through these activities Rainbow girls learn about public speaking and how to work with others to become confident young leaders in their communities. They are recognized for their achievements through merits, awards, and scholarship opportunities.
